Six Feet Under is HBO s critically acclaimed drama series that takes a darkly comic look at a dysfunctional family that runs an independent funeral home. The show creator is Alan Ball who is the Academy Award winning writer of American Beauty. All 17 tracks appear in the show (including the unmarked bonus track Yummy Yummy Yummy by Julie London). Other artists include PJ Harvey, Craig Armstrong, The Dandy Warhols, The Beta Band, Zero 7, Lamb and more. Digipak. Universal. 2002.

Disappointing - I expected more from this album even though I read the track titles before I bought it. Transatlanticism and Breathe are the only real keepers in the mix for me. The Onion in the Petunia Patch is pretty, but really just a novelty. As a huge fan of the show and what I remember to be it s soundtrack, this album was a disappointment.

wonderful - if you love the show, you ll love this soundtrack...and if you don t love the show......what s wrong with you?

Album Review - To match all its quirkiness, the show Six Feet Under found the perfect pairing of music to go hand-in-hand with its woven tapestry of the continuing saga of the family-run funeral home business. Whomever was responsible for selecting the particular bands and musical cuts they used, and the ones that made the album, worked as much magic as those who wrote the witty scripts!

even the girls at work like it - I loved the series and this soundtrack, like the other, has so many songs that make you think of the show but also stand alone nicely. The girls at work (who are very picky about music on the overhead) even liked it and that is saying something!

love it - a moody mix of tunes from the series i m still mourning the loss of. if you loved six feet you will, of course, love this cd.
